Is it worth the hype in changing OS to windows 7?

People are exited to see the full potential of Microsoft's Newest release of OS. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine already got the Beta installer which will run through his system for a year without paying for a license(that's why it's called beta testing duh!)

Anyway, after a week I have been convinced to try the New OS to my machine too. (Of course I used my not so oh powerful machine for testing and leave my main computer run its Vista)
